A few days back a discussion crept between me and my friend Suraj on whether being a project management requires only experience or knowledge on the concepts of Project management?
Well i was of the mindset, if you have gained knowledge on the basics of project management, then tailoring it to the needs of organisation would be a lot easier.
On the other hand, my friend was of the opinion that project management is a trait an individual possesses. He illustrated how the managers in the Indian IT industry handle a lot of issues which the project Management books and guides doesn't convey.
This discussion continued for a long time. But the underlying qualification required to be a successful project manager is synonymous to the Bermuda Triangle.
